Makers of Entertaining Games Association
MEGA, also known as the Makers of Entertaining Games Association, is a community of game developers within the USC Games program. I've served as the group's Industry Liaison over the 2014-2015 year, and just a few weeks ago I was elected as its president for the year to come.
MEGA's mandate is to cultivate community in the USC Games community with weekly events like game jams, skill-sharing sessions, game nights, and guest speakers. In January of 2015, we held the LA global game jam, which with over 250 jammers was the biggest chapter in the world! But some of our smaller events go a little more off the beaten track, like our Proteus Yoga session, our Video Game Book clubs, or our Black History Month seminar.
MEGA is always looking to introduce outside perspectives into the USC Games community; If you're ever interested in coming to USC to hold a talk, recruit for your company, or just to visit, please don't hesitate to get in touch! You can find out more at www.MEGAUSC.com
